PRIVACY POLICY

DeHook ("we", "us", "our") is built and operated by Henrique Oliveira (dehook.tech). This policy explains what we collect when you use the DeHook app, why, where it lives, and what you can do about it. Questions or requests: henrique@dehook.tech.

1. What we collect

DeHook works without an account, name, or email. When you record a reflection, we receive and store it. Specifically:

• Audio recordings of your voice. Only what you record yourself on the reflection screen. Recording starts only when you tap the record button.
• Your reflection text. Typed by you or produced from your recording.
• Intercept events. Which app triggered the pause, and when.
• A random anonymous identifier created by the app, so your data can be recognized again without an account.

If you record while offline, the reflection is kept on your phone and sent to us once you are back online. We collect nothing else: no location, no contacts, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers.

2. Why we use it

DeHook reads your past reflections, and analyzes them to understand and improve how the pause experience is presented to you. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Where it lives and who can see it

Your data is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider, Supabase, and travels over HTTPS. Because reflections are spoken thoughts, we treat them as sensitive: access is limited to the people who operate DeHook, and to the service providers we need to run the service. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

4. How long we keep it and how to delete it

Until you ask us to delete it. Email henrique@dehook.tech, tell us which device you use and roughly when you recorded, and we will delete everything associated with you and confirm when it is done.

5. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop storing it.

6. Children

DeHook is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us recordings, contact us and we will delete them.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy. If a change is significant, we will do our best to surface it in the app before it takes effect.
